Test Selection Matrix

Which ExamIn tests do you need?

Instructions:

Enter a 1 - 5 rating in the yellow column for each Competency to indicate its importance on the first day of the job assignment for the target position. Then, view the total administration time estimate (in minutes) in the blue section (for the "full" test) and in the green section (for the "reduced" time test battery). Finally, use the recommended test battery (either "full" or "reduced time" based on the shorter of the two options). If only a limited time is available for testing, select the tests based upon their "rank" in that same column.

The ratings are defined as:

  1. - Not Important: Minor significance to the performance of the job.
  2. - Of Some Importance: Somewhat useful and/or meaningful to the performance of the job. Not possessing adequate levels of this KSAPC may result in slight negative consequences.
  3. - Important: Useful and/or meaningful to the performance of the job. Not possessing adequate levels of this KSAPC may result in moderate negative consequences.
  4. - Critical: Necessary for the performance of the job. Not possessing adequate levels of this KSAPC may result in serious negative consequences.
  5. - Very Critical: Necessary for the performance of the job, and with more extreme consequences. Not possessing adequate levels of this KSAPC may result in very serious negative consequences.
